#GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving and unity, set to take place on May 5, 2020 as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. The day is designed to drive an influx of generosity, citizen engagement, business and philanthropy activation, and support for communities and nonprofits around the world.

At a time when we are all experiencing the pandemic, generosity is what brings people of all races, faiths, and political views together across the globe. Generosity gives everyone power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on. It’s a day for everyone around the world to stand together and give back in all ways, no matter who or where we are.

Our programs and employees have shown a lot of innovation in providing Sun Street Centers services in new ways, such as telehealth with Zoom, emphasizing personal safety, safety for our clients and safety for the community. Participating in #GivingTuesdayNow will give our donors, supporters, clients, employees, and community partners an opportunity to show their financial support during this crisis. Needed supplies: food, paper products, health and safety products, and technology hardware and support.

“Please know that our staff are committed to providing substance abuse response on the “front lines” as an essential service provider. #GivingTuesdayNow is an opportunity to provide our employees as essential workers and our clients with essential needs to stay safe during this crisis.”, says Anna Foglia CEO of Sun Street Centers.”
