Clinical Supervisor / LPHA – Men’s Residential – San Luis Obispo

DESCRIPTION

Oversight responsibility for Residential Client Treatment Plans.  Fiduciary responsibilities including Medi-Cal and private health insurance diagnoses and treatment plans, and billing. Support in supervision, hiring and evaluation of counselors and/or interns. Case management for men, women, and families seeking recovery from substance abuse. Provides direct assessment and diagnosis for clients entering treatment, continuing treatment, and discharging form, or stepping down treatment. Community outreach for the advancement of agency services.  Speaking presentations and representing the agency in the community and at events. LPHA I, II based on level of supervision responsibility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A four-year college degree or equivalent plus LAADAC and 2 years direct experience in treatment program, a master’s level degree in marriage and family therapy, social work, or related field; plus 2 years of administrative experience working with people with alcohol and/or drug abuse problems in a treatment or prevention environment

Principle Responsibilities:

The following responsibilities represent the essential functions of the position.  An employee in this classification is responsible for carrying out the following functions:

1. Provides direct assessment and diagnosis for clients entering treatment, continuing treatment, and discharging form, or stepping down treatment.
2. Oversees counseling treatment plans and case management or intake services in specific areas such as withdraw management in residential, assessment/intake in outpatient, and public and private insurance referrals. Provides direct counseling supervision.
3. Assists in supervision of interns working on license or certification.
4. Works in the agency planning effort to design and implement programs and services supporting the long-term participant goals. Performs continual evaluation of agency services and or departmental functions measuring activities against quality standards. Recommend and design plans for continual improvement.
5. Assist with financial planning and budgeting as well as monitoring and forecasting for assigned department.
6. Assures regulatory and contractual compliance of program assigned.
7. Leads the highest standards for a safe work environment.
8. Leads departmental efforts for staff development of treatment planning.
9. Provides support negotiating new contracts and services.
10. Attend and participate in management team meetings.
11. May attend and participate in meetings of the Board of Directors, and assigned Sub-Committees proving staff support and making presentations and reports as needed.
12. May perform other duties as assigned to assure the efficiency of the program.

Required knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point, various EHR databases including Avatar
2. Knowledge of community outreach/education
3. Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups
4. Ability to communicate and lead in a culturally competent and sensitive manner.
5. Excellent written communications
6. Ability to analyze data and produce reports
7. Ability to lead and manage change

Environmental Conditions:

Constant movement around service area, and travel into the community. Time spent sitting, using a computer station, periods of intense concentration, using the telephone, paperwork. Time spent in meetings, travel to various work site locations throughout the County. Exposure to outdoor weather and environmental conditions.

NOTE:  Employees will be required to be double vaccinated with booster for COVID-19, fingerprinted, and will be subject to clearance by the department of Justice.
