Aranyani Azevedo, Development Director
Aranyani Azevedo first came to Monterey County in 2012, from Sacramento, CA. Since moving here, she and her husband Jordan, have loved every minute of being a part of the vibrant Monterey County community- first living and working on the Peninsula, and then eventually settling into the community of Salinas. As Development Director at Sun Street Centers, Aranyani brings with her over six years of nonprofit management experience. Aranyani is passionate about her work at Sun Street Centers, because she believes that addiction treatment is a long-term solution to many key issues faced by residents in Salinas and beyond. Aranyani is well versed in the value of public service, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Science, and has been an appointed District 1 Monterey County Commissioner for over two years.
Jackie Cruz, Council Chair
Jackie Cruz is the Vice President of Advancement and Development and Hartnell College Foundation at Hartnell College and a proud Hartnell alumna. Jackie worked for the United Way Monterey County as the Director of Workplace Campaigns. She then came to the Hartnell College Foundation and served as the Development Director before being promoted to Executive Director. Her passion is connecting with people and resources to create pathways leading individuals to self-sufficiency and healthy lives. In her 14-year career, Jackie has been an integral part of resource development efforts which have produced over $32 million dollars for local organizations and Hartnell College. Jackie has been a committed Sun Street Centers board member since April of 2009. She resides in Gonzales with her talented son Luis and new daughter Kylie.
